This set of games aims to take the development of body awareness a step further and prepare participants for other games that will be available later, focusing on imitation and communication. The "Postures" games are designed to help participants become increasingly aware of their bodies and learn to differentiate between various postures as they adopt them.
This set requires greater dexterity in movement and balance from both the student and the educator. Participants will have to assume and maintain different postures with different parts of their bodies, individually or together, depending on the activity. As in the first set, all the games and activities can be played individually or in collaboration/competition with the educator or another student.
These activities also aim to promote attention to the whole rather than attention to detail, which is the natural tendency in many people with autism. For this reason, this activity may be particularly challenging.
